If you have a baseball lover, take a few minutes to take them by Oren Dunn Museum before this exhibit is over! My boys are lovers of all things baseball so they were excited to hear that an exhibit was going up of local players that had made it into the major leagues. We stopped by for a few minutes to check it out! We were very surprised that there were so many and enjoyed reading about each one. While there is no autographed memorabilia to view, your baseball fan will enjoy reading each player's claim to fame. My boys favorite MLB team being the Atlanta Braves, they were ecstatic to read that there were several players from our area to make the team! Their favorite player featured is Bill Hall since he is from our hometown of Nettleton and my middle son's batting coach!!
Oren Dunn Museum is a staple in our community and has made major changes over the last several years. If you have not been in a while, you definitely need to stop by. You will immediately be greeted by some of the friendliest folks in town and they are happy to answer any questions and show you around. While this may not be this largest museum you've ever been to, there is so much local history you are sure to learn something fascinating!
