A one-mile trail may be enjoyed by day hikers at Chewalla Lake.

The park's unique setting fills every activity with adventure. Big Hill Pond has 14 trails, some for horses, as well as a 70 foot lookout tower with an AMAZING view!
Two miles of boardwalk lead through 165 acres of natural lowland beauty. The park includes a nature center, observation tower, Aerie Trail Raptor Center and two lakes for fishing.
Dismals Canyon is a 0.6 mile heavily trafficked, moderate, trail located near Phil Campbell, Alabama that features a waterfall and insects called dismalites that emit a bright blue-green light to attract food and mates.
This 271 acre park has natural areas, wetlands, three lakes, and an elevated boardwalk.
Arkabutla Lake has a variety of great trails for hiking/nature walking, horseback riding, mountain biking, just enjoying the outdoors.
Puskus Lake Recreation Area is a fairly remote area with a lake and a 1 mile walking trail. It is perfect for those who do not like the big crowds and do not need modern conveniences.
The 148-foot sandstone bridge in Alabama towers 60 feet above winding pathways and is the longest natural bridge east of the Rockies.
